Today marks the first day of school for most Michigan students. At Durant-Tuuri-Mott Elementary School in Flint there were a lot of new faces from other Flint schools.
Due to budget cuts, schools were consolidated in Flint and students were moved to new locations.
Today was a half-day at the school.
The kids seemed excited and parents generally supported the new school moves.
The faculty says that while there are more students, everything seems to be going smoothly so far. They also appreciated the half-day, which helped make paperwork and processing that much easier.
