The National Weather Service is warning that multiple rivers throughout Mid-Michigan are at or near flood stage.
The Cass River, Flint River, Kearsley Creek, Saginaw River, Shiawassee River, and the Tittabawassee River are all under a Flood Warning.
The rainfall over the past 2 days combined with the expected continued rainfall are pushing the rivers past their flood stage.
The Cass River from Frankenmuth to Bridgeport, as of 6 this morning, is at 18.6 feet and still rising. Flood stage for this river is at 17 feet. It is expected to reach over 20 feet.
Kearsley Creek has also just gone over its flood stage as of 6 this morning. It is at 10.1 feet and rising.
