Flood Watch for the western and northern portion of mid-Michigan
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the western and northern portion of mid-Michigan Monday, October 23.
The Flood Watch is effective until Tuesday 12:00 pm for Gratiot, Isabella, Midland, Clare, Gladwin, Roscommon, Ogemaw, Arenac, Bay and Iosco counties.
Persistent rainfall, heavy at times, will continue tonight into Tuesday morning before this system starts to leave the region; rainfall totals of 1 to 4 inches will be possible.
A Flood Watch means there is potential for flooding based on the forecast; localized flooding is expected along with a substantial rise in area streams and rivers.
