FORECAST: Briefly Turning Cooler

Temperatures will mainly be in the upper 40s to start off your Thursday morning. Futurecast is probably reading too warm where you see all the 50s and 60s around the Tri-Cities and Thumb.

A cool area of high pressure from Canada is settling in behind a southward moving cold front.

This high will influence our weather with cooler than average temperatures Thursday into Friday morning.

The cool-down will be brief, however, as this high pressure system shifts eastward on Friday afternoon.

This will allow a southerly return flow to develop, setting the stage for a warm-up this weekend.
