The Future Farmers of America has seen an uptick in the number of high schoolers entering their program. The Census of Agriculture says the U.S. lost about 100,000 farms between 2007 and 2012. Yet the FFA is attracting more high school students than ever before.
With careers in food science, the pet industry, pharmaceuticals, meteorology, and agricultural safety, there is no lack of jobs in the industry.
