A 31-year-old Gladwin County man faces attempted murder charges after sheriff's deputies say he shot a woman and held her captive since Tuesday, Jan. 15.
Gladwin County Central Dispatch received a call from a Hay Township home around 9 p.m. Saturday about a female victim with gunshot wounds.
Sheriff's deputies later found the suspect driving his vehicle near the incident scene and arrested him. He is in the Gladwin County jail for attempted homicide and unlawful imprisonment.
The victim is recovering at a Midland hospital in stable condition.
