GM to buy Flint buildings where the company began

The head of General Motors says it will buy the buildings in Flint where the company started.

GM President Mark Reuss says the company will renovate the original Durant-Dort Carriage Company building on West Water Street and the factory just across the street along the Flint River.

He says the buildings represent the birthplace of GM so they should be preserved.

The buildings could be turned into a museum.
