A Goodrich woman was honored tonight for what she calls her successful fight against obesity.
Margaret Cousineau was one of 72 Weight Watchers members honored in Frankenmuth for shedding a total of 5,700 pounds.
Margaret feared for her life after doctors told her she needed to lose weight or face severe health complications.
She has since lost 55% of her original body weight.
She says she would have failed without the support of her fellow Weight Watchers.
"When you're struggling alone its terrible but when you have a group like this behind you, how can you not?" Margaret says.
"How can you not make it when you have so much prayer and so much support".
Florine Mark, President and CEO of Weight Watchers was in attendance to personally thank the honorees.
"When people are sitting out there thinking 'well you know I can't do that', if they can do it so can you!" Florine says.
Weight Watchers also collected non-perishable food donations for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan during tonight's ceremony.
