Gunfire claims lives of two teens in Flint

Just two weeks into 2012 and Flint police are looking for the murderers of both a 15 and 19-year old, both dead within hours of each other.

The shooting started just before noon Saturday when police were called to this block on Seneca street. 15 year old Dalaun Morgan was shot in the head. He died later at Hurley hospital. Since it happened in broad daylight neighbors saw the chaos.

Neighbor Meon Perry says, " I came out here and they was carrying the young man out on a stretcher and it was blood covering the side of his face."

Police are looking for a 16 year old gunman.

A few hours later another shooting, this time on Grand Traverse near downtown. The driver, 19 year old Aaron Lacour, was shot while driving. Police arrived to find him slumped over the wheel. He was taken to Hurley but also died from his injuries. There are no suspects in this case.

Today some Flint residents struggle to understand why violence keeps claiming the lives of so many young people.

Joyce Towner says, " 15 and a 19 year old in one day, that's sad, ridiculous."

Flint resident Jack Bell shares her shock saying, " Its too much going on in Flint. We need more police or something. I don't know if that's going to help much."

S ome are calling for more police others would like to see a curfew added for teenagers to keep them off the streets. If you have information about these shootings please contact flint police.
