Grand Blanc Township's historic General Motors Weld Tool Plant will officials close its doors Monday, July 1.
It has been around since the 1940's and Monday the plant as community members know it is closing it's doors for good.
The announcement was made at the beginning of the year.
When the plant first opened it made tanks for the United States military.
343 of the workers at the plant have been reassigned to other plants in Michigan and Ohio or they opted to retire.
GM officials say the move was a cost-cutting measure.
Officials have not said what will be done with the property.
