Home burned to ground in early morning fire in Flint

Flint fire crews helped protect neighboring houses this morning from this vacant house fire.

Flint Firefighters responded to a house fire in Flint this morning.

The call came in around 1:30 am on the east side of Flint, on Kansas Street near Cumberland. This is close to Mott Community College.

When crews arrived they found the home fully engulfed in flames.

It was a vacant house, so fire crews allowed the home to burn to the ground while keeping nearby homes safe.

Officials say no one was hurt.
