It appears to be the city's 61st homicide of 2012 and it marks the third time in more than 20 years Flint has eclipsed 60 homicides.

Last week 21-year-old Isaac Burton was shot and killed.

This most recent homicide puts Flint on pace to break a record 66 homicides.

However, nationally Flint has dropped the FBI's most violent city title, now held by Camden, New Jersey.

Last week's election has given hope to Flint residents.

Residents voted in a public safety tax allowing the police and fire departments to avoid further cuts.
