Home of juvenile mother of still born baby, deemed unfit to live in

The Huron Township home of a 13 year old girl who gave birth to a still born baby has been deemed unfit for habitation after several malnourished dogs were taken from the house.

This is not the location where the baby was born. It is the house of the mother. The baby was born in Port Hope.

When the teen mother was taken to the hospital, doctors realized she had given birth, and authorities found the newborn TMs body in the attic of a Port Hope home.

Investigators determined that the child had been born still born.

The alleged 16-year-old father, who is a relative of the child TMs mother, has been charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct for the relationship with the young teenage girl. He is being held in juvenile detention while the case moves through the courts.

In a new update to the case, Thursday the Huron County Sheriff TMs department removed eleven under-fed dogs from the Huron Township home, and took the animals to the Thumb Animal Shelter in Elkton.

Shortly after the dogs were taken, a worker from the Huron County Department of Human Services (DHS) Protective Services investigated the home. After seeing the condition of the home, it was deemed unfit for living conditions.

The two occupants refused to leave the home, but eventually agreed to go. They were taken in by members of their church.

The investigation is continuing in this family TMs case.
