Huckleberry Railroad gets a head start on trick-or-treating

Crossroads Village kicks off its Ghosts and Goodies Halloween festival.

Thousands of people are getting a head-start on their trick-or treating for the year.

Crossroads Village hosted Halloween Ghosts and Goodies.

The month of Halloween-family-fun kicked off Saturday when organizers say nearly 3,000 people toured the village.

Friendly witches, ghosts, magic shows and the Huckleberry ghost train express are main attractions this time of year.

Many families come back for the event year after year.

"We do Greenfield Village but there's something just so cozy and quaint about this and the people are so nice and we like to support them so we were here for Christmas and now Halloween," said Courtney Ylunan of Rochester Hills.
