A couple hundred people, some from as far away as Germany, came to walk the covered bridge in Frankenmuth today.
There is a five-mile walk on the Mackinac Bridge today, but some of the walkers at the wooden bridge said they were glad their walk was only a few hundred feet.
Dorothy Zehnder and her family were also on hand to walk the bridge. The bridge serves as the entrance to the Bavarian Inn Lodge.
After the noon walk everyone went to enjoy music, beer and food provided by The Bavarian Inn.
They sang traditional music during the walk.
