A Genesee County mother welcomed a new bundle of joy to usher in the new year.
Elias Sincissen was born just at after the clock struck midnight at 12:06 a.m.
The baby boy weighed in at 4lbs. 4oz. and 17.5 inches.
He was the first baby born in 2014 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
Mother, Adlin Rivera-Sincissen says she was in the hospital since October 29th.
"The staff here are so great and they took care of us the best way they could and they made sure he was healthy and they made sure they guided us through everything, all the process and it was just amazing and I still cant believe I have my baby boy," said Rivera-Sincissen.
Little Elias is still in the hospital in the neo-natal unit.
No word yet as to when mom and baby are expected to go home.
