Ice causes train derailment in Fairgrove

A train has derailed in Tuscola County in the town of Fairgrove, blocking Vassar Road just south of Fairgrove Road right next to Star of the West Milling Company.
The engine of the train, operated by Huron & Eastern Saginaw Valley Railroad, jumped the tracks when it hit a patch of ice, according to the Akron Police Department.
There are no injuries, nor did anything spill from the any of the rail cars.
Another engine is being brought in from Bad Axe to replace the engine that went off of the tracks.
The entire process is expected to take about three hours.
