Jackknifed semi-trailer truck has traffic backed up on I-675

Interstate I-675 northbound was opened back up to traffic at about 2:30 this afternoon. Tune into NBC25 news at 6 for more details.

Officials say that there was an accident further up the highway that had traffic stopped. The driver of the semi-trailer truck slammed on his brakes, which caused the back trailer to flip.
The truck was carrying dry cement.
Officials also tell NBC25 that the driver is OK. There are no injuries.
A semi-trailer truck that is jackknifed has traffic backed up on northbound I-675 at 6th Avenue.
Vehicles are being rerouted off of I-675 onto exit 2. The accident happened at about 10:30 this morning.
Traffic is backed up all the way back onto northbound I-75, south of the East Holland Road exit.
There are multiple two trucks working on trying to get the semi-trailer truck righted and off of the highway.
The Saginaw Fire Department and the Saginaw Police Department are also both on the scene.
Officials have not said what the cause of the accident is yet.
