The Detroit bankruptcy trial will start September 2nd after the judge decided to move some testimony to later in the case.
Federal Judge Steven Rhodes must decide whether Detroit's plan to get out of bankruptcy is fair and feasible.
Rhodes had planned to first hear testimony on August 29th from some creditors who don't have lawyers but changed the schedule Wednesday.
It means the trial will start with opening statements from the city and creditors on September 2nd as planned. Rhodes has set aside about 30 more days of trial if necessary.
