June could potentially open on a stormy note.
The Storm Prediction Center has much of the viewing area in a Slight Risk for severe storms on Saturday.
A cold front combined with a strong upper level jetstream could produce severe thunderstorms late Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening.
The main threat with these storms will be damaging winds in excess of 60mph, but large hail and isolated tornados will also be possible.
After the cold front comes through on Saturday night, cooler air will arrive on Sunday as highs will only get into the upper 60s to around 70°.
