Keep the umbrella handy, and the A.C. tuned-up!

Tonight looks cool compared to the remaining nights in the extended forecast!

A warm front will bring some showers and storms ahead of it Thursday afternoon and evening, then warmer and more humid air after it passes.

A ridge of high pressure aloft will bring warmer air into the region Friday through the weekend and into much of next week.

Often times, these ridges lead to a period of rain-free weather... And although we will have several hours without rain over the extended forecast, we can't completely rule out an isolated afternoon storm every day until Wednesday.

The reason being: Minor disturbances will continue to ride up and over that ridge of high pressure, and above the heads of Michiganders.
