Kids, adults test smarts at 'are you smarter than a grade-schooler' event

Elementary school kids compete against "grown ups" in "Are you smarter than a grade-schooler" fundraiser event at Kettering University.

Saturday, local dignitaries got to answer the question--are you smarter than a grade-schooler???

The fundraiser event held at Kettering University welcomed celebrity contestants including Flint Mayor Dayne Walling, Craig Coney, president of Career Alliance, Dr. Jonathon Wenzel, chemical engineer at Kettering University, Kathi Horton, president of The Community Foundation of Greater Flint and Mott Community College president Dr. Dick Shaink.

The celebrities were up against students from Cummings, Reid and St. Paul Lutheran elementary schools.

They were tested in geography, math, science, social studies and grammar.

Proceeds from the event go to the Flint Children's Museum.
