Kids at a local nature preserve were on the hunt for one of the world's most elusive creatures.
The For-Mar Nature Preserve hosted an event Aug. 30 where children got a chance to search for Bigfoot.
The event was aimed at teaching children how to use tracking skills.
Naturalists spoke about the science behind stories like Bigfoot.
"It's a chance to be outside learning about something in a really neat and unique way," said Nicole Ferguson of the For-Mar Nature Preserve. "That's kind of what we do really special here at the Genesee County Parks...We try and provide those really unique opportunities for people to get outside and active."
To make Bigfoot a little harder to track, there was also a friendly bear waiting to greet the kids.
