Last unofficial weekend of Summer forecast

The leading edge of the rain should reach our western counties shortly after noon on Saturday.

The weather this weekend looks active with showers and storms in the forecast at times, but temperatures look warmer as well.

A weak cold front will bring a good chance of showers to the area Saturday afternoon and Saturday night, then only slightly cooler air will move in behind it on Sunday.

Temperatures will actually run somewhat above average through the long weekend.

Our average high and low are now 78°/56° at this time of year, and we'll be above those numbers by 5 to 10° right through Labor Day.
