Late Summer warmth, humidity coming

This is the upper level pattern about 5 or 6 miles above the surface on Sunday morning. A ridge over the Great Lakes will set the stage for a warming trend.

Tomorrow the average high and low in Flint are 79°/57°.

That's a little bit below our averages of 82°/59° at the peak of Summer in mid-July, but the warm season isn't over yet!

A ridge of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere will build over the area this weekend into early next week.

This ridge will block any major cold fronts from the North and will allow us the opportunity to heat up.

Occasional disturbances riding up and over this ridge will pass through from northwest to southeast during much of the 7 day forecast.

This will keep frequent, isolated shower and storm chances in the forecast.
