The combination of rain and snow is causing for a slippery comute on area roadways.
Around 11 a.m. a semi-truck carrying corn overturend on the on ramp to I-75 northbound in Birch Run. Crews responded to the scene and are in the process of cleaning up the corn. No cause of this accident has been released and it's unsure whether or not it is weather related.
Meanwhile, Genesee County 9-1-1 reported it was working on 11 seperate accidents around 10:15 this morning. Michigan State Police crews tell NBC 25 there are no injuries with the accidents along the I-75 expressway this morning in Genesee County.
Many are along southbound I-75. One is at West Vienna. Another at West Mt. Morris Road.
In Sagnaw County, emergency crews report an accident on I-75 at the Zilwaukee Bridge. Police say the driver of a Chevy Silverado spun out on the icy bridge and crashed into the bridge barrier. The driver wasn't seriously hurt. In most instances weather played a roll and drivers were going to fast. It may be best to avoid I-75 through Genesee and Saginaw Counties because of the numerous accidents that are slowing down traffic.
