Local students to help Oklahoma tornado victims

Although it's more than 1000 miles away, some Flint Township students feel compelled to help the people of Moore, Oklahoma. A tornado wiped out the town and destroyed a school there.
According to GM spokesman Tom Wickham, 3rd through 6th grade students at Randels Elementary will conduct a bottle drive to raise money for the students in Moore. The local students are members of the FIRST LEGO league team in the Carman-Ainsworth School disrtict.
Proceeds will be given to Feed the Children, an Oklahoma City-based organization.
You can help by taking cans and bottles to the VG's store on Corunna Road from 2 till 8 on Saturday June 1 and from 11 to 4 on Sunday June 2. Cash donations will also be accepted.
