The "Love Your City" initiative is wrapping up this week in Flint with brush pick-up.
The goal of the program is to have the city spruced up by Memorial Day.
One of the final phases of the clean-up effort is brush pick-up.
The city asked residents to bundle the brush in four-foot bunches and leave it by the street.
All-in-all the effort has been well received by the community.
"The city really came out and the amount of interest I received in personal phone calls alone was tremendous. I think with the proper planning, we can really turn this into something the city really gets behind," said Jason Lorenz, spokesperson for the City of Flint.
NBC25 was proud to have been part of a cleanup Saturday morning at Clio and West Home in Flint.
Thanks to several volunteers who showed up to help us out.
