Man dead in car crash on north side of Filnt

Breaking news this morning in Flint as police investigated the scene of a car fire that has resulted in the death of one man.

NBC25 learned of the crash at around 6 a.m. on the north side of Flint at Glenwood and Asylum. Sources at the scene said two men were in a car that rammed into a building. One person inside the car was confirmed dead, the other was able to get out of the care safely.

UPDATE 9:30 a.m. - Police have identified the man who was killed in the accident as Kalvin L. Smith, 22, according to a press release. NBC25 has also learned that the second man involved with the crash was able to get out of the car with only minor injuries.
