The Bay County Sheriffâ??s Office says a 21-year-old man was struck by two vehicles and killed while walking on Interstate 75 in Bay County.
The accident happened around 11pm Saturday, April 26 on I-75 in Frankenlust Township.
According to the Sheriffâ??s Department, the man initially was traveling north on I-75 in a 1999 Plymouth Breeze when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the concrete divider on the west side of the road. After hitting the concrete divider, the 21-year-old exited the vehicle and began walking south on the east side shoulder of I-75.
Witnesses tell the Sheriffâ??s Department the man entered the roadway for unknown reasons before he was struck by two northbound vehicles.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Bay County Sheriffâ??s Office is investigating the accident with assistance from the Michigan State Police, Mclaren EMS and the Frankenlust Fire Department.
Police are not releasing the victims name until further notice.
