Man fought with police after being escorted out of courtroom
DENMARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- On Thursday, Sept. 21 police were called to investigate an aggravated stalking complaint that happened in Denmark Township. The incident led to the arrest of 38-year-old Robert Proctor of the Reese area.
According to the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office, Proctor had a court appearance on Friday in Probate Court. Sheriff’s say during the proceedings, because of threats made by the suspect previously, two deputies were escorting him. Sheriff’s say while waiting in a room adjacent to the courtroom the subject became combative and fought with the officers.
According to the Sheriff’s office, one of the deputies was injured and was treated for a knee injury. Sheriff’s say due to threats made against the victim and family the judge revoked the original bond and the suspect remains in custody.
