Man found dead in SUV overnight in Saginaw

Police are investigating the death of a man overnight in Saginaw.

The Saginaw Police Department has released the name of the homicide victim from overnight in Saginaw.

Police say 56-year-old Nathaniel Ware died of gunshot wounds.

This is still an ongoing investigation.

A man was found dead in his vehicle overnight, near the Food Basket Market on S. 15th Street and Remington in Saginaw's east side.

Police received a call at around 12:30 am that a man in a white SUV was shot in the parking lot of the market.

Once on scene the police found the SUV in the middle of the intersection.

Inside they found a man in his fifties who was shot several times.

The man was transported to St. Mary's Hospital where he died.

Police have not released the victim's name. They have also not released any suspect information.

The investigation is ongoing.

If this is ruled a homicide, it would be the city's 22nd this year.
