Man in critical condition after car vs snowmobile crash in Flint

FLINT, Mich. - Flint Police say a man driving a snowmobile is in critical condition after colliding with a vehicle on Flint’s east side.

Police say on Tuesday, December 26, around 1 p.m. officers were called to Curry Street and Woodrow Avenue for a snowmobile versus car crash.

Police say that a snowmobile, driven by 51-year-old Michael Danek was traveling northbound on Curry Street.

A second vehicle traveling eastbound on Woodrow Avenue at Curry Street collided with the snowmobile in the intersection, according to Flint police. Police say speed is believed to be a factor in the crash. Danek was taken to an area hospital listed in critical condition.

It is unknown if alcohol and drugs are a factor. Police say the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
