Man injured after crash involving vehicle fleeing the Michigan State Police

Yesterday evening a 76-year-old man was critically injured when a vehicle that was fleeing police struck the man's vehicle, according to the Michigan State Police.
The victim, whose name is not being released at this time, is in critical condition.
At about 5 pm the Michigan State Police tried to stop a vehicle for traffic violation on Newell near Martian Luther King in the city of Flint. The 28-year-old driver fled and drove through a stop sign.
It was there that the 76-year-old man's vehicle was struck by the fleeing vehicle.
The 28-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene. The Genesee County Prosecutor's Office is working on charges related to the crash.
The suspect is also being treated for injuries sustained in the crash.
