Michael Moore blasts 'Obamacare' as 'awful' in NYT article

Davison native Michael Moore calls the rollout of the new health care law "awful", in a recent New York Times op-ed piece.

The author and documentarian known for films like "Roger & Me" and "Bowling for Columbine" writes "That is the dirty little secret many liberals have avoided saying out loud for fear of aiding the president's enemies, at a time when the ideal of universal health care needed all the support it could get."

While Moore thinks the law is bad because it caters to the insurance industry, he also calls what's in place a "godsend" for those who would have lost insurance under the old system.
