Michigan legislature looking at saliva test for possible drugged drivers

The Michigan legislature is considering a bill that would allow police officers to administer a test to see if drivers are using illegal drugs.

Both the Michigan House and Senate have taken up the bipartisan bills.

According to WWMT, researchers who have studied the proposed method of testing say that results are inconsistent.

An amendment is being considered that would give waivers to drivers who can show that they have a prescription to use medical marijuana.
