Michigan State, Northern Ireland school renew pact

Michigan State University officials say they have renewed and expanded an agreement with an agricultural college in Northern Ireland.

The East Lansing school said its College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Northern Ireland's College of Agriculture Food and Rural Enterprise recently re-signed an endowment and student exchange pact.

University officials say the agreement includes more opportunities for faculty sabbaticals, collaborative research, transfer and exchanges of technical expertise. It also will allow more students to study abroad.

The schools have had an agreement for 20 years.
