The Michigan State Police had to be called in to deal with a man who was refusing to leave his motel room after the motel staff was unsuccessful on Sunday.
The man, identified as Lance Spinner, age 41, refused to leave the motel room and even declined to open his door, even after the MSP requested that he do so.
The MSP entered the room and, after a brief struggle, Spinner was arrested.
Spinner, of Montague, MI, was charged with 1 felony count of resist and obstruct a police officer, 1 misdemeanor trespassing, and probation violation.
Spinner was taken to the Osceola County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned today.
