In Grand Blanc there were close to 40 teams that raised more than $80,000.

Opening ceremonies were delayed an hour due to the morning rain, but the sunshine quickly came out as the afternoon approached.

The survivors were honored and cheered for as they took the first lap around the track at Grand Blanc High School.

Another Relay for Life event was also help Saturday in Davison at the high school.

Each year more than four million people in over 20 countries raise fund and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay for Life movements.
