For more than 12 days, 60 year old James Simpson was missing from his Grand Blanc Township home. His relatives say he suffers from mental illness and needed his medication. Then, a ray of hope this morning.
A police officer spotted him in Flint.
Flint Police Officer Tracy Ross discovered Simpson sitting at a bus stop at Saginaw and 12th in the city. He appeared disoriented but is otherwise fine. Ross took him for some coffee and donuts.
After some testing, he'll be re-united with his family.
What's still unclear why Simpson wandered away from home. Plus how he survived that long on his own.
