Most wanted man caught

Anthony Beaurem was wanted for multiple crimes, making him the most wanted offender in Flint.

The Flint City Police Department has arrested the city's most wanted sex offender this week.

Anthony Beaurem was taken into custody Aug. 26 on 10 counts of assault with intent to commit murder, three counts of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of felony fraud, five counts of armed robbery and five counts of felony sex offender violation.

According to a media release, police received a Crime Stoppers tip saying Beaurem was living in the city of Flint. He was arrested at the reported residence where he initially attempted to evade officers. Beaurem was also in possession of a fire arm when taken into custody.

He is currently being held at Flint City jail.
