This is an especially important holiday weekend for ninety Michigan men and women. During ceremonies Friday afternoon in Lansing, ninety new state police recruits, after months of grueling training, were officially sworn in and given their badges.
"The most challengeing part was being here every single day and every minute having something to do and constantly working towards the next task," said recruit Matthew Rose.
"I sacrificed a lot being here, just the time, the sweat, the blood, the tears, everything," recalled recruit Tarzza Williams who is being assigned to the Flint Post.
Troopers Wililiams and Rose, along with the rest of the 124th Recruit School report for their first day of work, as troopers, on Monday.
