Mt. Morris Twp. men accused of trying to kidnap, rob woman at Great Lakes Crossing

Two Mt. Morris Township men are lodged in Oakland County Jail after police say they tried to rob and kidnap a woman at the Great Lakes Crossing Outlets Saturday.
Police say 20-year-old Edellis Alexander and 20-year-old Isaiah Herron confronted a 47-year-old woman from Lake Orion around noon Saturday in the parking lot. One of them put a gun to the womanâ??s back as they pushed her toward her car and told her to get in. The victim dropped to the ground and started screaming. An 18-year-old woman heard the screams and walked toward them. She told the suspects he was on the phone with police, allowing the victim to escape. The men stole the victimâ??s keys and cell phone and fled the scene before they were arrested.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the assault.
One of the suspects was found to have a firearm at the time of his arrest. They are charged with armed robbery, car jacking, attempted unlawful imprisonment, receiving and concealing a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm. The men were arraigned Sunday. They remain in the Oakland County Jail on one million dollars each.
