Music in the Parks starts tonight in Flint

Tonight before the fireworks go off, the Flint Symphony Orchestra will open up Music in the Parks at historic Crossroads Village.

The FSO is going to play many rousing 4th of July tributes, including a salute to the troops, music from composer John Williams, and The 1812 Overture.

The show tonight starts tonight at 7. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket!

Music in the Parks continues July 8 with the Gospel Music Celebration. This event starts at 7 pm and will take place at Mott Park.

Kearsley Park hosts the next event on July 17 at 7 pm with the Soul'd Out Band.

Then as classic cars come to Flint for Back to the Bricks, the FSO and Flash Cadillac will perform on Saturday, August 16th.

Closing out the Music in the Parks season will be Swing into Fall, with swing and big band music being performed at Rotary Park on September 18th at 7 pm.
