It's National Work Zone Awareness Week and that means the focus is on road workers and keeping them safe. Drivers around the state are being reminded to watch out for those orange construction barrels.
Several state agencies have joined forces and will meet on the steps of Capitol Building in Lansing Wednesday for a special press conferance. They will also announce the latest 2012 crash data in hope of reminding people of the importanct of road safety.
This week drivers can expect to see additional reminders to keep their eyes on the road and avoid distractions.
MSP, MDOT, CRAM (County Road Association of Michigan) and MITA are among the groups who have partnered up for the efffort.
You can find out traffic information as well as construction information from MDOT at their website.
