A boat built from a kit in Bay City 99 years ago, and has sailed up and down the east for years, is now back home.
The current owner of the boat set sail one last time today.
Also joining the crew for the final said, the Defoe family or Defoe Ship Building. The company that built the watercraft almost a century ago.
"This day is just phenomenal," said Don Comtois of the Saginaw River Marine Historical Society. "It's probably the biggest day we've ever had in the society for preserving a piece of maritime history."
The ship will be on display at Skipper Buds in Bay City.
