An autopsy has been completed following the death of 20-year-old Saginaw Spirit player Terry Trafford.
The results of the exam show Trafford died from self-inflicted asphyxiation.
Michigan State Police say no foul play is suspected in the young man's death.
"Devastated, and emotional, you lose a young man who's part of your career, part of your life, this is a young man that was part of our franchise here and we are all devastated", says Saginaw Spirit President Craig Goslin.
Trafford's body was found Monday in his truck in the parking lot of the Walmart in Saginaw Township.
The 20-year-old had been missing since March 3rd.
Services for Trafford will be held Sunday and Monday in Toronto, Ontario.
Spirit players and personnel will attend services on Sunday.
The team will then return to Saginaw for their final regular season game against Sault Ste. Marie.
The Spirit will honor Trafford before the game Saturday night at the Dow Event Center.
