Got a favorite judge?

The Michigan Judges Association is accepting nominations for its annual Judicial Excellence Award, named in honor of the late Hilda Gage, a judge in Oakland County and on the appeals court.

Anyone can nominate a judge. The nominees should be judges who serve Michigan and their communities with skill and courage. It's the fourth year for the award.

Past winners were J. Richardson Johnson of Kalamazoo County, state and federal Judge James Ryan and James Kingsley of Calhoun County.
