Northwood has provided moving trucks for students in order to aid with the evacuation, which is now ongoing.

Northwood University is warning students that there is a likely evacuation coming due to flooding.
They also announced that all classes are cancelled on Thursday and Friday.
The University says that the Midland County Office of Emergency Management forecasts rain resulting in substantial flooding.
Northwood has released an evacuation plan for students in case this happens. The specific area that is expected to flood is South Village.
Here is the statement from Northwood:
If the forecasted rain occurs portions of the NU campus, including South Village, will flood. All South Village residents must do the following:
1)Please pack personal belongings, including all valuables and electronics, in preparation for South Village evacuation.
2)If you are planning to go home this weekend, please take all of your belongings with you and inform the Housing Department of where you are going and how you can be contacted. It is very important that we keep track of all students during the weekend.
3)If you are able to stay with extended family or friends for the weekend, please do so and inform the Housing Department of where you are going and how you can be contacted.
4)South Village students who have nowhere to go will be accommodated. For now, please pack your personal belongings, especially all valuables and electronics, and move all vehicles to the back Dubois, Naegele, or Sloan parking lots.

-Wear comfortable clothes (jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts) dress appropriately for adverse weather (rain gear).
