Officials: Bus hits Detroit building; driver dies

Officials say a bus driver has died after crashing into a building on Detroit's east side.

The crash into the building that houses a dry cleaning business happened Tuesday morning. Police and rescue crews are on the scene.

The Detroit Department of Transportation says the driver, who was described as a veteran of the job, died. The driver's name wasn't immediately released.

Officials at the scene say at least one other person was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The bus was on a sidewalk and the front of the vehicle was crumpled. There was no immediate word about the cause of the crash.
